Why did God perform the Ten Plagues?
The plagues are sent from the God of Israel, as a proof that the "one true God" was far greater than all of the multiple Gods of the Egyptians.
Ex 7:5 “And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it."
Ex. 8:10b “so that you may know there is no one like the LORD our God.”
Ex. 10:2 “tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the LORD."
